Mom's Great Grandparents

On the Plohr side they were Karl Friedrich Plohr and Katherine Elisabeth Brinkman, and Heinrich August Friedrich Kovert and Catharina Maria Niebruegge.  On the Nissen side Lauritz Nissen and Catharina Schroder.  Lauritz and Catharina can be found in the 1835 census of Haderslev Denmark, He was the son of Jorgen Nissen and Hedewig Sorensen and Catharina was the daughter of Bertel Fallesen Schroder and Conradine Jeppesdatter Eckhaus.  I can't tell you much about these people as individuals for me they are still just names and dates on a page.  If I keep digging someday I may know them better.  I am posting modern day photos of Melle Germany and Haderslev Denmark so you can see where they came from in a broad sense.

The top photo is Melle and the bottom photo is Haderslev
